Not totally unusual for seat allocation not to be possibly on busy flights. Fly enough, it happens, one of those things.
Most likely the OP will end up in row 8 at OLCI. If not being split up for a short Euro flight isn’t that big a deal and given the sameness of CE seating should be easy enough to arrange a swop on board.
