What you see as a negative is actually a positive to me and to many that fly BA a lot namely in return for our loyalty we get to select seats for free and there are plenty to pick from because non status people don’t want to pay to me this is a nice benefit and in reality to a certain extent the us airlines operate the same way the better seats are free to status holders but non status holders can either pay or pick a less desirable seat for free
