This year I've flown business on Cathay, EVA. Qatar, Asana, Thai Airways, and Vietnam Air. None of them charged extra for seat selection. None of the USA domestics charge for seat selection for the front cabins. To even think there might be a charge for seat selection is absurd to anyone paying for premium cabin. Except, apparently, for BA. Anyway...

Getting back to my question, am I increasing my risk of being bumped on this airline if I don't pay extra to select my seat? (I have worries about being bumped from my premium cabin seat on any of the Asian airlines, but BA is obviously a different breed, so I'm trying to assess my risk.)
Very very unlikely you'll be bumped so no need to pay. Lots of people here willing to help but it doesn't make it easy to want to help when you start with such an aggressive post calling people clowns and accusing people of extortion.
