I am fine with the Hyatt Regency albeit commercial like most of them.
They aren't true suite friendly as they keep the real suites for sale.
They do offer a family suite which is really two adjoining rooms when available but best to confirm
in advance if that appeals to some
I'm a fan of the team here (majority)of kind folks that genuinely seem to care about guests.
The food and beverage lacks but compared to Centric they are gods even when Centric was operating a restaurant.
When they have failed me they jumped to make things right. For that reason while far from a stellar property
they represent Hyatt proudly. The small fitness center gets the job done.
They remember my favorite sparking water and leave amenities they aren't required to do
when I request a certain view they rise to the occasion.Sometimes they leave newspapers at your door in the morning
Anyone here old enough to remember those? lol

When price isn't a major consideration or a great deal of points I am crazy about the Ritz Carlton
They are one of the few standout properties worth its hefty price tag
Their basic deluxe base level rooms feel like an elongated elegant high end suite with washer dryer Miele fridge
and high cooking appliances set in luxury marble.Housekeeping is near perfect.
Its rare that I will pay that much for a room however people do it all the time and more in NYC and get nothing for it.
Its an oasis in the middle of tourist convention hotel h#ll steeped in luxury with glass walled large ocean view balconies.
It is not beachfront but thats a plus in my book as it cuts down on the maddening crowd and throngs of tourists
Their breakfast is costly but I go for it as its excellent as is their heartfelt service
When you realize they don't charge resort fees the damages looks far less.
The elite welcome amenities have been excellent large bottles of Fiji water fruit and cheese/crackers platters etc

Just around the corner is a Centric like hotel with a mid century minimalist interior
The Laylow (Marriott Autograph Collection) the elite breakfast
is blah but does the job for most.
The hotel is nice and 5th night is free on points and no gaming of award availability prices vary as do point redemption costs
I'll stop here as I don't want to play hotel concierge in the Hyatt forum anymore than I have.

When we express our disappointment we just want this Hyatt Centric to play fairly offer a breakfast locally of some kind
perhaps through a 3rd party or a respectable amount of points daily if not providing the benefit.
Many of us would like to support them if they could just clean up their act
Hyatt must realize when a hotel under performs we will seek other properties elsewhere.
We all want to support Hyatt that's why we are here quite a few of us!
