I found their chat surprisingly helpful. I decided tp spend +200000 avios using the cash+avios option for +5000€ tickets. After I selected the amount of avios to use and attempted to pay the remaining amount, I got a "page not found" message. Avios had been deducted from my account, but got nothing in return.

I immediately contacted QR via chat and it took only a minute to refund the avios. There was originally only two seats left in the fare class I attempted to book and noticed that the price had gone up by 1000€ after my botched booking attempt. I used the chat function again and asked my unfinished reservation to be removed. After a minute or two, the two seats on the lower fare category re-appeared and I was able to book them succesfully.

Literally the quickest and most efficient service I have ever received from an airline in a tricky situation. Hopefully this is not a one-off. When I decided to try out the chat I was pretty sure I only get to discuss with a bot, but luckily this was not the case this time.
