We like to spend Avios in CE. The reality is that leave is finite and more than one long-haul holiday in any annual leave cycle is tricky. We are fortunate in Europe to have a huge selection of places to see and explore on the short haul network. Tenerife in the depths of November is very pleasant and while koh samui is undoubtedly a more 'idyllic' option the jet lag isn't! So it just depends.
