On the subject of GGL and preboarding, yesterday I noticed a subtle change on my boarding pass. Usually my middle name always appears, but yesterday, just my first and surname appeared. I believe ba have been trying for some time to ensure that GGL appears on the paper boarding pass consistently, but also that it appears on the mobile boarding pass. Therefore, I wonder, by removing the middle name, they’re creating space for GL or GGL to appear perhaps? For me, I’d send out an email to all GGL customers advertising the new incentive and that to benefit, just walk up to the gate agents and display your boarding pass. No announcement or group 0.

In all honesty, I’d far rather stay in the lounge for as long as possible. I don’t want to check my bag in because I’ve had far too many bags go missing with BA, not to mention the ridiculously lengthy wait for bags at the carousel. So I always endeavour to take my bags onboard, but to ensure that I get locker space, I have to board early, as do many others. So, I’d far rather ba found a way to ensure a guaranteed space in the overhead locker for GGL customers, so that more lounge time could be enjoyed instead of having to get to the gate early.
