That sentence was clearly addressed as a general statement not specifically to you - granted it was in response to your post, but I gave my general opinion which happens to be the opinion that has been given several times by others as well, if you follow this thread.
Ultimately, you did make a decision based on the circumstances and decided that this card was not for you, my opinion notwithstanding.

And thus after taking all this into consideration, your decision was to downgrade your card. Like I said, when the day will come for me to decide if I'd like to keep any one of my several Bonvoy cards, I will evaluate the benefits vs the deficits and make my final decision based on the winning side. A card needs to work for me overall for it to be a keeper, if there are too many gripes, useless benefits, and/or other downsides I get rid of it.
