Unless you're suggesting that providing such data at multiple locations for overlapping dates may be the cause of the red flag. Then I do see your point, although not sure if it would necessarily matter.

Exactly this, for example, in my country, it's mandatory for the hotels to provide the passport number/identificaiton number of guests to local authorities.
The same situation applies to most GCC countries as well.
