Just had a very nice stay here. Used a Globalist SUA to upgrade to a Grand Suite.
The club is open, breakfast 6:30-9:00, Heavy hors d'ouvres 5-8:00, desert 8:30-10. Beer, wine, and spirits for charge, self service using room key. The food was good with a good variety. The wine choice was decent and decently priced (6 oz of a good Barolo or Bordeaux for $11). Two espresso machines, one standard with milk one with no milk, using Nespresso Legerro style packets. The drinks from the latter were very good.
Recognized as G'ist at check in and every subsequent interaction with the front desk. Housekeeping did a great job.
Had one dinner in Cure, the sushi restaurant in the lobby. It was very good and reasonably priced for good hotel sushi.
Great location, four Metro lines in the basement, easy walk to White House, Washington Monument, etc.
A little worn at the edges. 2/6 elevators semi-permanently out of order (printed signs covering call buttons). Lots of knobs missing, scuff marks, etc. But overall a nice property, would stay there again. Especially with the Missus who loves to eat frequent light meals and enjoyed the club.
