Just got an interesting e-mail from The Socialist's front desk, stating that "due to unforeseen circumstances, we are unable to allocate a room for you during your intended stay period". I have a stay coming up in about 3 weeks, so a bit disappointed to hear this, but I did also notice that no rooms have been showing as available for the last 2 months or so, so suspected something was going on. Wonder if someone important booked out the whole hotel? They did offer to walk me to Moxy Copenhagen which looks quite a step down, so I'm just going to cancel my reservation.
Either way, looks like I'll be staying at the Copenhagen Marriott! Hopefully SNAs get approved
Moxy is certainly not an equivalent to be walked to, cash rates are typically less than half at the Moxy, sometimes even a third. And the moxy is very much a select service experience.
