Given the intermittent downtime / challenges: is it worth having some sort of "status" indicator at the top on the Cowtool on the main page? (rather than people flooding this thread)
Something simple ie) green "OPERATIONAL" vs red, "DOWNTIME / MAINTENANCE".
I know you had been putting some brief text in there but something clearer may be easy / worthwhile.
That's certainly possible. When you load the page it fetches your account, and I could just throw a message in there.

I think most of the "averages Joes" like me only travel using aeroplan points once a year or so, so I will be using the tool for some weeks and then stop using it completely. So a paid membership yearly/monthly would be not interesting for most of us, whereas a donation after booking my trip and feeling happy about the amazing trip I just booked seems natural. If it's become paid, I rather it be a $ rate per credit, so that the people who don't abuse the system are not treated as the same as those who abuse the tool and increases the cost.
A subscription will never work due to the nature of this community (account sharing, etc.). It's just not feasible, and I don't really need to hear arguments for or against it. It's not happening.

Because enough people wanted it. And the pricing is different when you search with a stopover than just separate bounds. You may be able to calculate it if you're flying LHR-FRA-TYO with a stopover in FRA, but it's not as easy if you're flying YYZ-LHR-FRA (with the first segment on AC) due to dynamic pricing.

It's been there for a while
