Your experience might vary - a bulk of such flying has been done on the AMS-SIN route, which sometimes attracts a rather specific crowd due to the fifth freedom extension to Bali.

Anyways, the op stated they value "the pod" (-> privacy + they are likely a solo traveler) as well as their specific choice being between 1-2-1 AF, which I consider to be a modern current-gen product, and 2-2-2 KL, which is more of a last-gen product closer to the current (pre-upgrade) LH & LO cabins.

Therefore, I wanted to tell the OP that, given their particular situation, their expectations might be better aligned with the AF product. Plus a huisje is like 10 or 20 EUR on eBay.
