Holiday Inn East Kilbride

Holiday Inn East Kilbride

What is your Priority Club status?
Diamond

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked 1 King Bed Premium Single Sofa Bed (same price as lowest room). No upgrade

How are the rooms?
Several sets of fire doors to pass through to get to the room
Dated furniture
Sofa in awkward position as you can see in the photos, it either has to block off half of the usable desk area or you can't get into the bed from one side.
Both shower and bath available which is rare these days.
Free minibar - had kitkats, irn bru and water in aluminium cans.

How is the exec. lounge?
None

What was good and what was bad?
Free parking, location good for our driving route (but limited public transport and nothing much nearby)
Ate dinner at the restaurant which was fine but rather expensive, even with Kids Eat Free. Given that we went before the restaurant got busy, the service could have been a little bit faster but apparently the vegetables needed a longer cooking time
Used the pool which was great.

Nothing really bad.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
25k points, alternative hotels were all well over £100, so was acceptable. Would stay again if location suits.
