I'll be traveling Lima-Los Angeles on a Boeing 787-8 with my wife. I can buy the standard seat for $16 or an Exit for $42. There is no more extra leg room seats available.
What I want to know if about your experience with the exit one. The only available are window and middle.

1)My wife needs to seat on the aisle (standard seat). If seating in the middle seat on the exit row, would she be able to go to the toilet without asking the passenger seated on the aisle to stand up? Is there enough space?
2) According to SeatGuru, the window exit seat has of course extra leg room but "impeded by the protrusion of the exit door and this seat is missing a window". Is that really bad? I remember seating on a exit seat many years ago and It was comfortable.

It's going to be around 9 hours seated so looking forward for the best option.
