My vote would be some sort of reasonable quota, e.g. 200-500 credits per day (not that those many credits would/should be ever used up each day for 365 days, which if they were used up each day would be an easy redflag to ban those users), AND keeping with the current optional contribution model.
OR
Have a 2 tiered system, with a free model and paid model.
1) A Free model with the proposal above, i.e. the current system with a reasonable quota (200-500 credits per day ) with optional contribution and
2) a paid model for power users who are currently abusers
canadiancow /
cowtool would you consider running a poll on here or directly in cowtool for users to get a sense of what users would opt for?
Again, thanks for all that you've done and currently do!
LOL, yes and no (to my 10 credits/day idea)
It'd be enough for me, IF you plan ahead and think about the plan. You learn to work with any system
AwardNexus (thanks) gives me, as Elite member, 100 points and auto-fill once it reaches 0, but I don't abuse it either and learn to do only the necessary searches (or cross-compare with cowtools)
Anyway, it was just an idea to quickly reduce cow's costs from 20X to 5X or whatever, ASAP, for now
I don't take anything for granted, and honestly IMO I don't think anyone (personal user) needs 100+ credits a day (avg). I wish I have that many miles or vacation days
But 3000 credits/month is reasonable ..... until brokers find ways to create new accounts and sign up? :P
