A safety issue found during scheduled maintenance that was communicated to us 30 mins prior to boarding even though the plane had been sitting at the airport overnight. I knew it wasn't technically eligible (based on the reason provided) but submitted a claim anyways as I was annoyed that the delay caused me to miss a reservation.
