I think there's going to be a lot of upcoming comparisons/shootouts between Olinto and Kasbah Tamadot.
They're so close to each other, physically, yet offer such totally different experiences.
We went to KT for an afternoon, evening. Cooking class, lounge by pool, dinner.
It's a spellbinding place. Like Branson, it's posh, with a touch of tongue-in-cheek irreverence.
But luxury, for sure, nothing like "Virgin Hotel" vibes, or even what I've heard about his Bahamas Islands. More discreet, refined.
Love the castle/fort, the grounds, the views. The art & design is a bit all over the place. Branson apparently bought all of the items the former owner (an antiques dealer/collector) had accumulated. It all seems to be strewn about the property, fairly willy-nilly. An ancient Thai elephant footstool here, a huge bronze sculpture of a Native American there.....and of course, plenty of Moroccan/North African stuff.
It's all pretty arresting, and it works in its own fun way. It's just.... a lot.
Olinto's owner (Fab Ruspoli) came with his own, fairly-renowned collection of European 20th century furniture and art. It all seems to tie together much more.
They are two really different properties, both fabulous.
Happy to answer any questions on PM for anyone deciding between these two Atlas Mtn places.
