I'm traveling on QR business class, and since I have 11h transit in Doha, I've been assigned to Oryx Garden Hotel, a 4-star property at the airport, according to the confirmation email.
I wanted to be placed somewhere outside the airport and preferably at a 5-star facility to explore the city even a little bit.
I called once and requested to reassign, but I was told no availability other than the Oryx Garden Hotel.

Is it worth trying to ask at the transit counter in DOH to see if they can reassign somewhere else? Has anyone tried?
