Slight difference between towing an aircraft that would otherwise occupy a stand for 16 hours and towing an aircraft to allow a few passengers a slightly shorter walk.

That’s not really the point being made here. T5A is an airbridge. T5C is an airbridge. No airline would tow an aircraft from T5A (or equivalent) to T5C (or equivalent) only to allow another flight to arrive at T5A (instead of T5C) because of a supposed benefit to customer experience.
