In 2015 or 16 I checked in at BKK for LHR on my birthday, the check in agent noticed and I got an upgrade to F. That's the only time I ever got recognition apart from a bottle of champers to take of the aircraft when my wife and I were discussing our 25th wedding anniversary with the purser on an AKL flight. I wouldn't count on anything these days though.
