My count is 15 CX destinations in Mainland China even if you count PVG/SHA as one: BJS/PEK, CTU/TFU, CKG, FOC, CAN, HAK, HGH, NKG, TAO, SHA/PVG, WNZ, WUH, XMN, SIA/XIY, and CGO. On the other hand, UO has only 1 in Mainland China (NGB). UO has 4 only if you include TPE, RMQ, and KHH, but in that case CX would have 17 (TPE and KHH).

Tokyo, Taipei. Manila, Bangkok, Beijing, Shanghai .
These are core trunk routes.
CX has massively downgraded from 450 zeater 777s to tiny A321s
True that SQ+TR may have more Chinese destinations than CX+UO these days, but part of the reason, especially in Southern China destinations, is because these cities are more easily reached on high-speed rail to/from HKG these days.

Agree. Plus, TPE and PVG were both served by KA (sometimes narrow-bodies) alongside CX pre-COVID-19 as well, so there is no "downgrade" on that if you look at a CX+KA perspective. MNL and BKK were served by KA narrow-bodies in the past, too, though these were cut in 2015 and 2006, respectively
