So I currently have JFK <-> HND <-> SIN booked for December on NH metal through United (016 ticket). When I originally booked, I selected seats (I think on the ANA website), and I was able to get the seat assignments to show in the United app. I just got an email about a minor schedule change on the JFK <-> HND legs and lo and behold, my seat assignments were not showing on United (the SIN <-> HND legs were still fine). No need to worry. If ANA has their seat assignments showing as confirmed, that’s all that matters, as they are operating the flight. UA is probably just erring on display, which isn’t uncommon, and probably especially not terribly surprising with the changed leg.
