Not that one with any level of sanity would do this, but this suggests that a check-in date in mid- to late-February would still count for a current year LP count after they posted (in the next qualifying year) backdated to checkin, it seems.

But the practical application is that January, even early February, is likely safe even if things are delayed due to backdating.
