I will be arriving into LAX mid-afternoon from the UK (one PNR with BA) then I will be taking an AA flight to SFO later that evening about 5 hours later (on separate PNR with AA). Will I be able to use the re-check area (if staffed) to get a new bag tag and drop my bag there? Does anyone have experience of them doing this? I plan to check in online beforehand (and get mobile boarding pass), so it's just about getting new bag tag and re-checking. Or will I have to walk over to T4? Thanks.
