This topic has been answered many times (check another post). No status whatsoevere helps to get a pre-assigned seat on Light fare. Not even for HON!
You can change seat at gate or at check in for free among those still available.
If you choose classic fare instead, you can reserve a standard seat and get one checked bag, this option is now booked by many FTL/SEN/HON.
