Could be better. (But we must consider that this hotel will soon undergo a massive renovation to become Japan's first Vignette Collection hotel).

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked Standard Room, Received One Double Standard Tower Wing Deluxe Floor.

This hotel have three buildings, Tower Wing (built 1973), Central wing, and West Wing (built 1965). This hotel’s standard (bottom category) room is located in the West Wing. So, this time I received 4 level upgrade. However, the Tower wing has 4 different floor levels, Superior, Deluxe, Natural Comfort, and The Presidential Tower. The Presidential Tower is Club level floor that is not subject to upgrade.

How are the rooms?
27SQM. 43inch Panasonic LCD TV, Panasonic Air purifiers, empty refrigerator, kettle and small steam iron. No coffee. Just placed Japanese green tea and roasted tea only. Design is late 80’s level. To be honest, dated. Big noises coming from air conditioner. Moreover air conditioner didn’t work well and room temperature was always lukewarm.

How is the exec. lounge?
Excellent food & beverage offering, especially beverages part is outstanding! However staff service is always reactive style, not proactive.

IHG One Rewards annual lounge access benefit guest granted limited menu in afternoon tea and evening cocktail time. (Even in limited menus, outstanding products!)
