I'm about to board an MH flight from KUL-SIN to connect to CX to HKG then to LHR. (all on a single PNR as part of a Qantas/Oneworld RTW trip). The MH agent at KUL was able to check my bag through to HKG and LHR but couldn't issue the CX boarding passes, saying I need to go to the transfer desk in SIN. The CX mobile app won't let me check in online for the CX portion of the trip so I can't get an electronic BP either.

From a quick scan of the of forums, the only way to get on the airside transfer bus to T4 at Changi is to show an onward boarding pass. Yet CX only has a transfer desk to obtain a boarding pass within T4. That's a bit of a conundrum. Surely it's not that uncommon for pax to transfer between OW airlines at SIN and require a boarding pass to be issued.

I have about 2.5 hours to transit, so going landslide shouldn't be a problem if need be, but if anyone has any tips to avoid having to pass immigration to get from T2 to T4, they'd be gratefully received!
