I'm a little confused by your response...the St. Regis Venice (which took over the old Europa and Regina) is 50% higher cash rate than in 2003, and it's a St. Regis rather than a Westin! And costs 150% more in points...
And are you suggesting that I stay by the airport even though i'm coming in and leaving from the train station for an 18 hour stay, or any stay? d
