I was tempted to start another thread on this but I'll just add here for now... I was reviewing the "Your Guide to Protection Benefits" and the trip delay protection stood out. Per the guide the trip delay coverage does NOT apply if "The Covered Traveler(s) is delayed due to a missed connection of their Common Carrier, but the delay that caused the missed connection does not meet the required time period of 6 hours."

So if a two hour delay causes you to miss the last flight of the day to your destination, leaving you stranded at the airport overnight, this benefit does nothing for you. This is precisely the situation for which you would most need it. When the card had this benefit package a few years ago this coverage would have helped you -- my wife and I used it once. I was glad they reinstated all of these protections, albeit to justify a higher fee, but it seems like this lets them say that they have a trip delay benefit without actually offering one that would be of any use for most delays.
