That’s what I suspected. I think A is used in WY for F redemption and the INVOL exchange carried that over. For EK this has to start with a Z, and would have required Aeroplan to likely manually issue the ticket. That’s what EK was trying to tell you.

Although I feel for plankton .... I'm not sure most people would have any idea about this issue. I certainly would not have known.
