I am happy to hear both that they are renovating (I’m never a fan of grey interiors) and that they will stay in the Marriott portfolio. As tourists, we love the location, near the ferry building and one of our favorite restaurants, a quiet area surrounded by very interesting architecture, away from the noise and sometimes unpleasant crowds around Union Square, but an easy, pleasant walk to Union Square. We enjoy breakfast by the window in the breakfast room, too, which we have typically found spacious, quiet, and uncrowded - although on a few rare occasions we have encountered large business groups.
