So the question becomes whether the other CSR 'upgraded' benefits (increased earnings, portal redemptions, lounges etc.) are worth $155 to me, both on their face and in view of other cards I have in my wallet. So far the balance has not tipped for me but it might in the future as my travel patterns change.
I noodle on this same situation. Sometimes feel a little "FOMO" re: CSR, which the wife and I simply rotate churning for the SUB every 48 months, but can't really see any valid reason to hold long term. I just can't bridge the $155 gap with the "increased benefits." We already have Priority Pass that allows restaurants via another card. We transfer UR points directly to Hyatt and/or airline programs, so the increased portal redemption doesn't matter to us and the increased travel earnings would not make to much difference in the grand scheme of things (we put airline purchases on higher earning cards, etc.). The 3X dining on the CSR went from "industry leading" when launched to industry lagging today.
Every once in awhile I question if I'm missing something, but when I dig deeper I just can't find it. The CSP card covers our needs pretty well,
