Stayed here for 2 nights whilst I was in Hiroshima back in April and like a few others, was trying to decide between this and the Sheraton. Ultimately went with the Hilton since it was the newer hotel and it greatly exceeded my expectations. Classy rooms with clean styling, EXTREMELY professional and thorough staff, excellent breakfast and very reasonable price (my rate for a 3-person room was 26,600 JPY/night, otherwise it would have cost 51000 or 56000 HHonors points). I was unexpectedly upgraded into a larger room but did not get a chance to stop in the lounge or try the downstairs cafe.

The only drawbacks: every single time I came back to the hotel, there was a slight sewage-like smell near the entrance. Never figured out what this was. Location of the hotel means having to take a bus or taxi here, and traffic was terrible the day I arrived. But was a convenient walk to Peace Memorial Park, the local restaurants my friends recommended, and several nearby laundromats. Breakfast was pretty chaotic and busy both mornings but staff did the best they could. The quality of the food, the inclusion of certain local dishes (one was a giant wooden tub of rice with various root vegetables and furikake? added to it), and the little cute touches like the cat sculptures and the phone booth is well worth the chaos.

Some pictures from my stay. The welcome gift is called "Momiji Manju," a local filled cake-like pastry.

Also some pics of breakfast and some of the little cat sculptures around the buffet area:
