Back to the topic of seat selection, does anyone know if there are Star Alliance member websites that can assign seats across the alliance? For example in OneWorld, I sometimes can't get seat assigned on the operating airline, but I can on AY.com, MH.com or RJ.com. Doesn't always work, but sometimes. We'll see. I expect it's all Wamos (so no accurate seat information) at least through October (which is when some signs indicate their 787 MAY be supposed to go online). I'll be watching to see if anything changes then, but I'm not holding my breath on that. My flight is booked for February, and I have petty low confidence at this point.
