LHR-TLV cancellation then delay
Hi,
I was booked with my wife and infant on ba165 LHR - TLV on Sunday 30th July.
Just as we were waking up to go to the airport, we received a notification that our flight had been cancelled and to look on ba.com for replacement flights.
In my half asleep daze (as it was 4am) I accepted a flight change to TLV for a flight at 17.05 - the only thing was I didn’t realise that it was for a flight the following day - Monday.
We then delayed until the following morning - Tuesday - which was incredibly frustrating. Our holiday has been made over two days shorter.
My question is, would I be eligible to claim compensation for the cancelled flight (assume it was not extraordinary circumstance for the flight cancellation seeing as it was BA home) and also compensation for the delay to the rebooked flight also?
