The rule is quiet clear:
Qualifying AAdvantage® and Mileage Plan

Get access if you’re departing, arriving or connecting on a qualifying same-day international flight marketed and operated by American, a oneworld® airline or marketed by JetBlue and operated by American.*

Eligible status members

AAdvantage®

  • Executive Platinum
  • Platinum Pro
  • Platinum

Qualifying international flights

Flights with seats ticketed as Flagship® between the U.S. and:

  • Asia
  • Australia
  • Europe
  • Middle East
  • New Zealand
  • South America (excluding Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela)
As an AAdvantage Platinum member, you have access to the Flagship Lounge when you travel on a qualifying international itinerary regardless of the class of service.
