Just wondering if something like this exists on Star Alliance and whether that might help.
I would be interested in an answer to your question, too, but...I would just suggest one calibrate their expectations. There's all sorts of misinformation and confusion being pushed out via "press release" about really basic stuff, such as exactly what kind of aircraft they are flying (claiming it's a 787 but actually has been that Wamos airbus with no lay-flat seats), so given Avianca's rather loose relationship with the truth, I'm not expecting a great reliability for more exacting things like picking a seat. We'll see. I expect it's all Wamos (so no accurate seat information) at least through October (which is when some signs indicate their 787 MAY be supposed to go online). I'll be watching to see if anything changes then, but I'm not holding my breath on that. My flight is booked for February, and I have petty low confidence at this point.
