Coincidentally, I was in Hatchobori two days ago. Not being too familiar with the western part of Tokyo-to, I almost hopped on the Musashino line to Fuchu Honmachi. Damn that would have been the long way.
I gave up at Shin-Kiba, then hopped on the Chuo to Nishi Kokubunji.
Nevertheless, I'm glad there's an (inconvenient) contingency, should issues around Mitaka or Nakano bubble up.
We live in NYC - Manhattan as well as Tokyo. Much drier and cooler summers here... We spent most of the winter in Tokyo this year -- loved it as we played tennis nearly every day!
