To be fair alcohol is really one of the only little pleasures left on planes these days. When I fork out thousands of quid for a premium ticket just to be able to lie down and get some sleep, necking a good few glasses of pricey bubbles first certainly makes me feel better about the ticket price. As for the food just about anything that's been styropacked, frozen, transported and reheated in plane ovens is never going to be gourmet stuff. At best it's on a par with Tesco's finest boil in the bag. So decent booze is really the only way to up the game.
