31 July - appointment, applied for passport at a post office (expedited)
4 Aug. - check cashed, status in process.
...
29 Aug - status "approved"
31 Aug - arrived

Processing center code 45 - not listed in the wiki above, but on travel.gov shows as the National Passport Center in NH.

1 month for "expedited" - things are getting better.
