I'm seeing multiple dates in September for three (or more) Business Class award seats from DFW and NYC to TYO for 60K miles each. Most days it's a connection, but even the JL nonstop is available occasionally from DFW.
If JL is not making connecting flights from TYO onward to other Asian destinations available, blame JL for that, not AA. But if you hold a 60K award flight itinerary to TYO, you can always call AA and ask if they are able to add on a TYO-Japan/Korea segment for no additional mileage. Other Asian destinations would cost 70K AAdvantage miles in Business.
