I assume it's the upgrade "A" as opposed to the commercial "A" class that BA are wanting to be available. If you have an EF subscription then you can search under the "Awards and Upgrades" section for that, selecting AA as the carrier and the "First - Upgrade (for 3-cabin flights only) (A)" fare class option.
