Yes miles are great and can be spent on lots of the things you describe, including at QR.

But Qpoints are status points NOT miles, and also would not be classed as miles with any other airline I have heard of.

But if you know of an airline where those status points can be spent in the same way as miles please do let us know. Genuinely, lots of people here would be interested in that
