Most don't (unless you get into a situation where you have to provide ID to the authorities). But with border controls tightening (and ETA/ESTA/ABC123 becoming common) don't be surprised to see it. Of course things can always change... but with technology, tracking is becoming more and more common. (of course some kinda used to do it manually.... such as China)
Okay. I suppose this discussion could be expanded to address, "will this work for country X?" queries. However, I've personally yet to encounter a situation in which the expiration date of the visa or entry stamp was not the final word on this matter. That having been said, I've never been anywhere more adventurous (in this regard) than Cambodia.
