I'm flying AKL-IAH soon and will be staying in the US for a few months. As I did not have a return date in mind, I booked a one-way ticket. Now looking to book IAH-AKL (which takes me to the US Air NZ website) and the prices are outrageous ($2000 NZD more than I paid for AKL-IAH in premium economy).

Is there any way to add the IAH-AKL leg to my current ticket to make it a return ticket? I'm on hold with Air NZ.

Now I know to book a return ticket and pay to change the date! Thanks for your guidance.
