In Poland specifically there are very few (to my knowledge) consumer protection laws concerning debit cards, and I think that LO will stated that since their business is incorporated in PL, those laws apply. This has not been unheard of with LOT. I gather your card is not issued in Poland, and so I think you should receive credit from your bank.
