I have never been selected or asked to move when its the oversold list (i.e. the 350 dollars plus offer) on alaska. However, on Jan 1 i was going from YOW >> EWR on UA to connect to AS to SFO...i put in my offer of 1250 for moving. I was called up first to be asked to move to a flight 2 days later. I said no thanks. The next person got 2k out of UA.....i said to her...awesome deal congrats!

I have used the 25 pre-travel offers on my LAX flights to move same day, then use SDC to move right back to my original flight. I got the 25 bucks in my travel wallet and ended up on the same flight and even got the upgrade.....its all a revenue management game.
