Elite has fewer hot food "slots", so I imagine that's the reason. The food items that are available today in Elite are also available in Polonez, but Polonez has a few extra items. From what I can recall, there are chicken and beef mains, and a basmati rice in both lounges, and main lounge also has some other sides like gnocchi, etc.
Booze makes sense. While I may drink a lot of it, I stick to wine or beer, so I don't really notice the difference with spirits. Thank you!
One of the main ones is that Elite usually has actual Champagne. I recall there used to be some extra food items not available in main lounge, but perhaps they enhanced it...
