Knowing how full JL’s F lounge would be, I can only imagine how crowded the J lounges would become at that time of day :/

In that case as a J passenger taking the JL HND-HKG route in a month, I would place my bets on the CX lounge having an overall better experience 😅 Here is my small part of helping CX sustain itself!

I booked this flight (JFK-HND-HKG) as it was really cheap when I saw it about 2 months ago (my final destination is SGN). Upgrades on the HND-HKG with miles were really easy to come by. Originally on this route was a 789 with the 52 SSIII J seats, now downgraded to the 28 J seats. I guess it’s true that CX and other LCC have captured this specific market segment (and CX also flies to multiple cities such as CTS, FUK, KMJ). Japan is really popular with HK youths and families, owing to the strong presence of soft power, but at least JL has their OW friend to back them up via codeshares
